Prada Menswear Fall 2008: Sexy Young Servants

MILAN, Jan 13, 2008 / FR / --- The very behaved Muccia Prada sent on her S-shaped runway sexy fitted silhouettes with a clear soft SM inspiration, interpreted for the new century.

The necklne is always striking in these looks where the collar takes the lead, like the remaining part of a dog’s leash: a collar repeats itself in a looser manner on a sky blue shirt. The same idea comes in another chocolate brown suit of silk worn on bare skin, with only a narrow shirtfront just tied in a form-fitting manner around the neck.

Shirtfronts of woollen material are strapped at the back and worn over the shirt of contrasting colour for a new constricted elegance. The triangular shirtfronts come in various lengths, bringing back memories of fencing tops in their longer version, of a vest for the new adult man in their shorter variation.

The bottom half confirms the equestrian inspiration, with slim trousers, particularly when worn inside boots of mirror leather already used in the previous seasons’ accessories of the famous brand. Reasonably low-waisted and with a long crotch, these trousers are sometimes worn over triangular jockstraps with a higher waistline of matching colour and material.

The colour palette is precise as always: bright red, ancient gold, patterned silver, a touch of purple mingle with the more classic light blue and chocolate brown.

The more usual suits are also interpreted in a much fitted manner. They will probably have their fans this season again. A micro tutu worn as an accessory over pants is probably meant only for the runway as if to reveal the softer nature of the submissive player in this game of love and seduction.
